A Fun & Creative Hen’s Teeth Wedding | Pea & May

If you’re looking for a wedding that’s bursting with personality, music, and a whole lot of fun, then this Hen’s Teeth wedding is going to be right up your street. Pea & May’s day was one of those celebrations that just felt like them — creative, colourful, and completely relaxed. I loved every minute of photographing it.

A Stylish Dublin City WeddingPea is actually an old childhood friend of mine, so getting to capture her and May’s wedding was extra special. From the moment I arrived at Hen’s Teeth, I knew the day was going to be amazing. The space was filled with energy — laughter, colour, and that effortlessly cool city vibe that makes Hen’s Teeth such a brilliant choice for modern couples.

Their ceremony took place right there in the venue, surrounded by their closest friends and family. Since a lot of their guests come from the music and theatre world, the ceremony included a few beautiful live performances that gave the whole thing such a personal touch. It felt intimate and creative — exactly what a Hen’s Teeth wedding should be.

May’s style was next-level cool. Her “something blue” was a pair of Weezer’s Blue Album earrings (honestly iconic), and she paired her look with the cutest bridal Crocs — proof that comfort and style can totally coexist on your wedding day! Pea and May both looked incredible and completely true to themselves, which is exactly what I love to photograph.

After the ceremony, we slipped outside for some portraits while guests enjoyed drinks inside. The area around Hen’s Teeth is full of texture and creativity, so we used the nearby streets and local street art as our backdrop. My favourites? A hilarious Simpsons mural of Fat Tony and a powerful “Saoirse don Phalaistín” piece — both perfectly reflecting the couple’s sense of humour and values.

We grabbed some relaxed family and wedding party photos too, keeping things fun and unposed. That’s one of the best things about weddings at Hen’s Teeth — the location is right in the heart of Dublin, so it feels urban, stylish, and full of life without ever feeling too formal.

After dinner and some seriously heartfelt speeches, the real party kicked off. Guests sang their hearts out at late-night karaoke, and the atmosphere was pure joy — the kind of night you never want to end.

This day was such a gorgeous reminder that weddings don’t have to follow any rulebook. Pea & May’s Hen’s Teeth wedding was creative, heartfelt, and completely their own — a perfect reflection of them as a couple.
