Beautiful Autumnal Mount Druid Wedding

A Stylish Mount Druid Wedding | Ciara & Jay

Mount Druid Wedding Photography

If you’re dreaming of a wedding that’s relaxed, creative, and full of personality, then a Mount Druid wedding might be exactly what you’re looking for. Nestled in the heart of Westmeath, this venue is one of Ireland’s coolest and most unique wedding locations. I had the absolute pleasure of photographing Ciara & Jay’s October wedding here, and it was nothing short of magical – stylish, fun, and bursting with atmosphere.

Getting Ready: The Conservatory & The Birches

The morning kicked off with Ciara and her bridesmaids getting ready in the conservatory of the main dining room. With its eclectic décor and gorgeous natural light, it was the perfect backdrop for those relaxed pre-ceremony photos. Ciara’s bridal look was unreal – she wore a stunning dress from The Reformation, paired with Gucci heels and a gold crown by Davina Lynch that gave her look a modern, regal edge. Add in the vibrant bouquets from Mad About Flowers, and it was a total vibe.

Meanwhile, Jay and his groomsmen were getting ready over at the Birches. This little hideaway is such a cool spot for the lads – laid-back, cosy, and full of character.

Trad Music & Drinks at the Boathouse

One of the best things about a Mount Druid wedding is that everything feels so close and connected, yet each space has its own personality. After a beautiful ceremony, everyone headed to the boathouse for the drinks reception. A trad session band filled the space with music, and it created such a warm, lively atmosphere – the kind where guests can’t help but smile, tap their feet, and soak it all in.

Why Mount Druid Weddings Are So Special

As a photographer, Mount Druid is a dream location. From the colourful interiors to the rolling countryside outside, there are endless photo opportunities. The October light was soft and golden, perfect for capturing those in-between candid moments as well as the styled portraits. Ciara & Jay were total naturals – so relaxed and just completely present with each other, which makes for the best kind of images.

Dinner and speeches were filled with laughter, emotion, and plenty of cheers, and as the evening rolled on, the party kicked off in true Mount Druid style. There’s something about this venue that encourages people to let loose and really enjoy themselves – maybe it’s the quirky spaces, maybe it’s the cosy autumn atmosphere, or maybe it’s just the kind of couples who choose Mount Druid. Either way, it’s always a good time.

For me, Ciara & Jay’s day summed up exactly why I love photographing Mount Druid weddings. It’s a venue that encourages creativity and individuality, and it’s always full of heart. If you’re a couple looking for something a little different – stylish, relaxed, and fun – this place delivers every time.
