S&S| DRURY BUILDINGS WEDDING & MUSEUM OF LITERATURE
If you’re dreaming of a wedding that feels effortlessly cool, full of personality, and set in the heart of Dublin, you’ll love this Drury Buildings wedding. This summer I had the absolute joy of photographing Sadhbh & Sam’s day, and honestly, it was one for the books – creative, stylish, and full of laughter.

Getting Ready at Stauntons on the Green
Their morning started at Stauntons on the Green, where both of them got ready with their wedding parties. The energy was buzzing – bridesmaids in chic suits that perfectly matched their bouquets (yes, suits, and they looked incredible!), laughter echoing through the rooms, and those little candid moments that always make for the best photos.
A Ceremony at the Museum of Literature Ireland
The ceremony took place at the Museum of Literature Ireland, which was such a dreamy backdrop for them to say their vows. It’s intimate yet elegant, with a touch of old Dublin charm. After the “I dos” we spilled outside for a confetti throw surrounded by all their guests – a joyful cloud of colour and grins that set the tone for the rest of the day.
Confetti, Portraits & a Pint at Grogan’s
We took a little wander for portraits in the Iveagh Gardens – one of my favourite hidden gems in Dublin. The mix of greenery, architecture, and that soft spring light was pure magic. From there, in true Dublin style, the newlyweds strolled to Grogan’s for a celebratory pint. Honestly, there’s something so perfectly relaxed about grabbing a pint in your wedding finery – and it made for the best photos.
Then it was on to the star of the show: the Drury Buildings. This venue has such a unique vibe – cool, creative, and filled with character, just like Sadhbh & Sam. Guests gathered in the main space for dinner and heartfelt speeches, surrounded by those iconic bold interiors. Later, everyone headed upstairs to the newly refurbished attic room for cocktails and dancing. It was the perfect space to really let loose and celebrate, and the party vibe was next-level.
A few extra details I loved: their Labrador got a special feature in the décor (a cut-out with the table plan – cutest idea ever), the bridesmaids’ suits were such a bold, stylish choice, and the whole day felt so them – not a cookie-cutter wedding in sight.
Why We Love Drury Buildings Weddings
For me, this day was a reminder of why I adore capturing Drury Buildings weddings. The venue has so much personality, and it really allows couples to make the day their own. Pair that with a walk through Dublin’s streets, a stop for a pint, and some golden hour portraits in the gardens, and you’ve got the recipe for a wedding that’s cool, creative, and completely unforgettable.
