a LITTLE ABOUT ME.
My name is Caroline & I’m the face behind the lens here at Wild Things Wed.
I’m a camera nut, born & based in Dublin & I currently live in Clontarf with my awesome cats/colleagues, Logan & Cal and my partner Tanguy.
Aside from photographing, working & hassling my cats I have a myriad of hobbies that I fill my time with.
I love to drum in my garage {sorry neighbours!}, skate on the seafront, I’m obsessed with chess and I could spend all day working in my veg garden. I play badminton at least twice a week and have an amazing league team I play with every year, I’m learning French {in the hopes of shooting more destination weddings in the future} and once that’s up to scratch I’ll improve my Spanish too! I’m a huge movie nerd {in particular sci-fi & anime} and I try to fit in a bit of pilates & the gym too. I also love cooking, interior design, pretentious coffee, sea swimming, reading & hanging out with my lovely little crew of friends ^^,

my background in photography
a wee timeline of events
- As a child I always adored looking at all the photographs my mom took & since I was about 7 I wanted to become a videographer so I could work with David Attenborough {I was obsessed with him!}.
- My brother had a Sony video camera so I began to make movies & documentaries with my friends {they are equal parts horrifying & amazing}.
- After much consideration I opted for studying photography instead of videography and got a place in DIT.
- IN 2012 I graduated with 1st class honours and after a year of extensive exhibiting with my final college projects {featured in Source, The Irish Independent, The British Journal of Photography and the Irish Arts Review} I began to work in the industry.
- I started out running a commercial photo studio {Picstash} and picking up any freelance work I could on the side.
- In 2013 I began to second shoot weddings for the fantastic Katie Farrell photography after spotting an add on Gumtree of all places. I was hooked in no time at all and in 2014 I launched my own business.
- Since then I have captured well over 300 weddings and am so proud of the little business I have created and the life it allows me to lead.
