Welcome to Elaine & Maria’s kick-ass, winter LoughCrew House Wedding which I shot back in November last year.
Maria & Elaine are such a good example of a couple that planned their day perfectly to suit their own style and personalities {which were super laid-back and fun!}.
To start they got ready together and even did their own hair & make-up {mega impressed}. Then after this they took a breather before the guests arrived and the madness of the day really kicked-in, and we went for a mosey around the house & grounds to take their couple photos. This is essentially what is called a ‘first-look’ shoot. I’m a big fan of working these in to your day as it means you don’t have to lose any time at your reception later on!
Their ceremony then was a humanist ceremony with the brilliant Joe Armstrong as the Celebrant. This was followed by tonnes of mulled-cider, tea and hugs back in the toasty main house, family photos in the beautiful high-ceiling porch and then a few scoops in the party bar before dinner and speeches were called.
My favourite details to look out for include the Father Ted themed place settings, their customised mulled-cider cups with an illustration of their cat and my favourite portrait – the one directly below which makes me think of dictators about to address a massive crowd from their balcony … super stylish dictators that is!
